I rarely write (except for today) but I always read the threads; and I have noticed that usually you are the optimistic one giving everyone positive energy! Well, have faith nshallah you will be with your husband soon!

Of course, we never need to explain how it is like because we are ALL living it day in and day out; however, we are trying to beat by getting informed and through the tremendous support this place gives. Sooner or later it will happen and if we waited this long (and some even longer), we sure can withstand the rest of it!

I think this -so far- mostly affects our brothers and sisters who are Syrian citizens being sponsored by Canadian spouses; as the last few days have proved that their applications are finalized faster. Even new applicants should take advantage of it and apply for visitor visas. Nshallah everyone  will get their visas as soon as possible.
I'm not going to sit here and analyse what'll happen in case the embassy shuts in Syria; since, I reckon only time will tell. Nshallah in this festive season everybody's wishes would come true!

I think its content is as same as before notice on 15-12-2011. We can only wish the situation in Syria stay safe and far from violent. I think CIC forgot us. They think about Syrian but what about other nationalities? We are also under pressure. But no comment about our situation! It is realy unfair!

My hubbyy still didnt receive File Number from Damascus yet...our file has been in process for one month...Should he call and inquire>?? do you think they would help us? Or should we just wait? Whats ur experience and advice??

Tina, I don't mean to frustrate you but I have been waiting for 8 months and I don't have a file number yet! It doesn't mean anything, today Tati00 told me that her husband inquired with the local MP about her file (she has my same time line). It wouldn't help to call them because they would tell you to email which most of the time they don't even reply. So your best shot is to email or better yet be equipped with more patience because your ship has just sailed. However, let me ask you; are you sponsoring or being sponsored?

You should have seen me last week, I was so depressed I got myself physically sick because of this; but today I have decided that No MORE depression, NO MORE frustration, NO MORE anger... JUST HOPE, enough has reached bottom line for me today! I have read you silently for months and a lot of you gave me the strength I need to bite on the wound for another day and I owe it to you to do the same for you. So, everything will be ok, everyone will end up being with their loved ones.... Let's all have more faith.

Do you mean on the certificat de selection de quebec? June 2010?

No, the letter addressed to the sponsor in your case sent by CPC-Mississauga notifying him or her that s/he has been approved to sponsor the principal applicant. Tina should have the file number there since she applied only a few months ago.

Ah, you're originally from Iran, right? How do you and stillwaiting know that this affects only Syrian nationals? I didn't see that specified anywhere, just the "in Syria" terminology.
