Woooow guys, congratulations everyone!!!! (0); My husband and I check the thread everyday to see how everyone is doing. but in the last 8 days we have seen 6 ppr..... OMG!!! Anyway, my husband wants me to ask those with ppr.... did ecas change your status before or after the email with the ppr?

I'm a new member here. I've been reading in this forum since December but never had a chance to write anything.
Actually, we are a Jordanian couple, I'm sponsoring my husband to come to Canada through Damascus -Syria. CIC received my husband's application on November 2, 2010 , we got approved on November 29, 2010. Afterwards, my husband's application was transferred to Damascus -Syria and they started processing our application in Damascus  on Dec 6, 2010.

First e-mail we received from Damascus was in April 19, 2011 , they were asking us to send the residency questionnaire.Therefore, we sent the residency questionnaire on April 23, 2011 and since that time we didn't hear anything new.
I'm so optimistic that my husband will get his Visa either in June or beginning of July inshallah, because my husband's medical exam will expire on July 12, 2011. Otherwise they would request us to undergo a new medical exam .

I just have one question for the guys who got their PPR recently, when Damascus send the e-mail with a PPR, do they send it to the sponsor and sponsored person as well or just to the sponsored person?

i was just wondering what exactly happens after you send in the passport with dhl and they receive it. I read earlier it takes them 4-8 weeks to finish with it (?) but then what happens, do they mail it back to the persons mailing address or what exactly.

medical is valid for 1 year,

and dear rola, they basically process the visa and print it in the passport, it might take long if there are others ahead but i doubt it will take that long

my husband did his medical exam on July 12,2010 so it should expire after 12 months from that date, which means that my husband's medical exam will expire on July 12 ,2011.
what it says on CIC that medical exam is valid for 12 months from the examination date or the date of the X-ray, whichever is earlier. So, if your husband did his medical in September 2010, so it should expire in September 2011

welcome wardeh . I think after the approval by CIC all the information is only sent to the SPONSOREE.. I never got any email from them my husband did. but i check his email for him because otherwise he would check  it only once a month -_- !!!
