I just received a new update on cic website on my wife's case! Now it's saying they start to process the application on May 23, 2012. Do you have any idea how long does it take from now on?

I submitted the sponsorship application on May 2011. Received the approval for the sponsorship on June 2011 and from July 2011 the only update was that they received the application for permanent resident. Today I just found out the status has been updated from APPLICATION RECEIVED to IN PROCESS and the date was May 23 2012.

After a week or so coming back to the forum, I realized some talking about the Exit Fee, avarezeh khorooji. The following links could help you guys, I am still not sure if the ones leaving Iran with PPR have to pay or not.

As I have said before, YES people with PPR have to pay it. A person with a single entry permanent resident visa in their passport is NOT a permanent resident yet, they become a PR when they land in an airport in Canada and they sign the COPR in front of an officer. And as long as someone is not a permanent resident of a country they HAVE to pay the exit fee --> People coming to Canada for the first time to land, HAVE to pay this fee.
After this first time and for the next travels to Canada because they are a PR they are exempt of paying the fee.

Or if you guys still don't trust what I say, you can figure it out at the midnight of your flight in Imam Khomeini Airport with those khoshakhlagh bank karmands yourselves!

me too but in our case, we were asked to do another medical exam so my wife just recently did another one. i think it's going to take a little time before the medical results make their way to Paris for further processing

Am nervous as hell buddy, My wife leaves in a few hours to go to Ankara.I am full of stress so is she but I'm trying to not show it.Shes going straight from the airport to the embassy in the morning...Ishalla it will go good for both of them!

haha they are even more khoshakhlagh after midnight lool  but yeah what you said is exactly right
