Hi rah, I have a question for you. my case is like yours, it was kept in Canada, until March. I\m wondering if you got the exact transfer date from CIC, cause they didn't give it to me!

They were also inconsistent, I called them like 4-5 times and at first they told me my file was in Canada, then in transit, then again one time an agent told me its in Canada, then again in transit the next time I called!!!!! So at end I quit calling as it was very frustrating!

Hi.No. I never got any confirmation that my file was transfered. Only the last time that I called the agent told me that It was finally transfered in march. So the only reason that I believed the agent was that she did not lie like others that my file was in damascus. But if my ecase updated I could be more comfortable beleiving my file is atleast now in Ankara. Last thing I need to know is my file never made it to Ankara . LOL

I misunderstood your question. When I called CIC , they told me the exact date that was transfered to Ankara. But I did not get a confirmation. Nothing like a letter or email from cic or ankara.

I have a question for you soharb......do you know if the files that were on hold in canada before the transfer, do they count the hold time of the file?

or anyone else have an idea about this?

actually I dont know if my file was on hold or not , cuz when i called the cic long time ago they were kept saying they dont have any information about my file because the process is no longer from canada and should contact Damascus VO...I emailed Damascus before the closure but never get an answer. Because if they didnt hold my file by octobor or november I should get the PPR request cuz by the time it gonna be 14 months......but if they have hold my file and I didnt kno its mean it gonna be more than 14 months.

If u look at the chart the first person that their file was kept in Canada was Lello and she applied in may and file was supposed to be transfered in July. It makes sense whoever after her their application was kept in canada. However , very afew people said here that their file was hold in canada. I am not sure that is because peopel are not aware of the truth because people did not call cic or they called cic and cic lied to them. Or they were very inconsistant and randomly hold the files based on strange reasons. Me and you have a similar timeline. Any thing can happen.  P and Substone applied later than Lello and got ppr. Maybe their files was not hold in Canada. Maybe urs was hold in canada like mine.

Azerou joon moborak bosh inshallah....this is the best news to hear that the most active people in this forum finnaly got their PPR ...I'm very happy for u.....but when I see that all ppr are coming out for pple with 14 months wait i feel very bad because it means i have to wait till 14 months and then hear something from the VO, i hope not but I doubt it

Do not worry yours will come very soon. And do not bother yourself with counting the days or months. Because every case is unique and as you see some bodies has received their PPR in 7 months too. So wait only for that great date! It will come!

yes they do, this is something i was going to share today but i got carried away talking about other things, if you remember from my case, the embassy in Damascus closed on janurary 31 2012,
from then files were transferred physically to other embassies, mine arrived on april 3rd, so i lost 2 months......... but on the 28th of april they looked at my file and gave me PPR on the 2nd.......

so the 60 days i lost didnt mean anything....

as soon as the file is viewed by an officer you will get ppr immediately.... it took me and many other 4-7 days

to explain my point a bit more..........
today at work i had a cake waiting for me at my desk with the words CONGRATS ON YOUR SPONSORSHIP / PROMO LOVE CIC
anyways after the little surprise we talked a bit about the process and my senior supervisor told me this is common, recently they hold files in Mississauga for months.......... then they send it to a Corresponding office and there it will be processed within a week.... he said you were one of the unlucky ones.... you had to wait 2 months for a transfer and it didnt count.......... where new applicants wait and the time they wait is counted for their file.... so yeah if your file is still in Mississauga/ottawa or whatever , it still counts as processing times, but for many of us it didnt because we were caught in the middle of a bad situation

For my 1500'th post i want to say i cant believe its all over...... i never imagined waiting 14 months then again when 14 months came along i was hoping i wouldn't have to wait anymore.......

So basicly if the file takes afew days to be processes , the long processing time is because of each file is in a long queue to be reviewed by an officer?

It was sent directly from ottawa, but I don't know when.
