My friend Mona just called and told me she received her ppr!

She applied on 1 Dec 2010.
Damascus received her file on 25 Jan 2011.
Ankara received it on Feb 15 2012.

Ankara asked for the landing fee, 5 weeks ago.
I'm really looking forward to hearing some good news,  khoda!

Nenan, yeah no news from Amman or Beirut is not very encouranging maybe just cuz they r new offices while Ankara is not and Ankara does have a lot of experience....but i'm sure that despite the slow start they will recover soon with lots of ppr's we should cheer for them like in a running competition also i'm sure a few got it also but they r not here to share....have a nice weekend

i think Alchemist is still around, he was active a few months ago, telling us abt caips; also Ottawa his wife got email for the 2nd medical i think....and wait for me my love also was still waiting a few months back....maybe the bou's family dissappeared mo jo is around on amman thread same khalid and others....it is very hard to know who is active or not and if someone didn't read this messages (maybe they have some busy days or just want to stay away from this, i do that too sometimes) then they won't read so many pages back

I think the members of this forum who their cases in Amman VO and Beirut VO are lesser than the members who their cases are in Ankara VO, may be Iranian members in this forum are more than Arab members  or there are a lot of Arab applicants for spouse sponsorship but they didn't share in this forum,may be that is why we don't know exactly how many ppr sent by Amman VO, I said that because I  just want to be optimistic and analyse things positively about why we hear few ppr sent by Amman VO       best wishes for all friends in this forum.

Yes dear Nenan and also remember that there are still so many people waiting who do not participate in this forum so chances are that other VOs have already started issuing PPRs but we don't know about it. Maybe they have issued a few PPRs already but those applicants don't use this forum. So keep your hopes high. Hopefully you will hear good news very soon.

Exactly Laleh_d! That is precisely why I wish that anyone who has heard of or know someone who got their PR from Amman or Beirut to please share it with us even if you are a silent reader.

I and other members from the Lebanese thread are planning to go visit the embassy; any other applicants waiting for their PR from Beirut and it's been over 9 months; please let us know if you are interested to come with us.

We desperately need to know something about the Beirut office since so far s far as we know they haven't issued any PRs. Nshallah the good news would still pour from Ankara and roll faster from Amman and hopefully Beirut would start to match up; it is getting ridiculous!

Dear Friends!

My wife got her PPR on Friday! I would like to thank you all for being my compassionate companions during this hard journey! Although I was a very silent reader, I followed all your posts very carefully and learned a lot. I hope everyone of you get his/her PPR very soon and all of us can finally live with our darlings happily ever after. Here is our timeline:

Sponsorship was approved on May 13, 2011.
Application received in Damascus on June 3, 2011.
First medical expired on March 5, 2012.
Received an email from Ankara to redo the medicals on March 21, 2012.
Second medical was done on April 6, 2012.
PPR email was received on April 27, 2012.

CONGRATS!!!!!!! That is fantastic.... What an amazing week! Good luck on your new life;)

I am thinking of applying for a visit visa to canada. Do you think this idea may work? i ran out of patience:)

Kat, you can take your chance but it'll take around 2 weeks to prepare all the application forms and the supporting documents and another month to get an answer so you'd be sitting on over 14 months and you might get your PR in God's will before that. On another hand, we are planning to go to the embassy, would you like to join us? Have you been there yet?

Ah sorry, I didn't see that your file was transferred to Damascus in May. You should start counting from the date your file was received by Damascus onwards.
