Hi everyone,

I think the best thing to do is individually send a one-page letter to the Minister, as it will get more attention than an email, and I think more than if one letter is signed by several of us, as they will arrive on different days.

For those who have been waiting at least 9 months (the 80% processing time a year ago), if you haven't already, I think it would only help to get your MP involved, even if they are only contacting them to get an update and we are repeatedly being told to be patient, as it draws more attention to our plight, and you can mention in your letter to the Minister that one of his colleague's office is involved with your file.

Full_of_hope, it won't let me respond to your message, as I haven't been on the forum long enough. To answer your question, I'm from Waterloo.

good point but i think the focus should be overall for the whole spousal program not only with emphasis on one embassy....i mean if u look overall damascus was really not too good not too bad comparing with others who wait maybe 18-24 months...we could also suggest kind of super visa any kind of visa for the family to stay together during the process...that i really don't understand why they r so strict in giving it....hope the letters will be read Smiley

Dear jay,

Thanks for ur helpful posts.
Personally I think before taking any action we have to wait till the next Monday (April 2). On the coming Monday the processing time is going to be updated and we can have a better understanding of the situation.

Dear gorgeous missmini  your reply was very kind and soft ,thank you for your virtual hug  Kiss  I felt I have a sister,I hope this storm (of waiting ppr) will pass soon, you describe it very good ,its really storm ,I check my email  every morning hoping find the golden email, I didn't give up, I have strong faith in  Allah ,God(khoda), the lord won't let me down and I am sure my prayers to get visa soon are delayed for purpose which serves me and good for me.
all my friends younger than me who married after me in months now they  have babies and they raises them, and all what we do now ,just waiting for the visa,  family making is postponed and  I am sure this postponement occur for specific purpose, only God know
all I wish this delay and  being apart of  my spouse won't ruin my marriage,I wish this very much, this is not Drama ,this is the realistic impact of delaying spouse sponsorship visa for months.

yeah i do understand ur frustrations...us too, even together, we r more or less the same: stuck and waiting for something better, waiting to b in a better place and i hope we take the right decision....but ur way is good, have faith and pray and God does hear us....at the end everything happens with a reason and when it's meant to happen Smiley and don't look at others or compare urself to them!!! it never does any good Smiley another hug!! Wink

rah why did u remove ur post? LOL
Haha. I thought don't wanna start a new Drama. Why did you like it? Haha

If u r in Canada, u can even call his/her office. However, i suggest u to email him since its more convenient and u can refer to ur email later.
I've never contacted my mp but there r ppl in this forum who have involved their mp in their file. He might come in handy if u r trying to get some information from ur visa office but the vo is not responsive. E.g. some ppl received their VO file number through their mps.
It really depends on what sort of assistant u need.....
