Hi,

I called CIC today regarding the transfer of file from Damascus to other VO. The agent told me that since last week there is nobody in Damascus and therefore it is sure that all files were transferred. She also told me that they sent all the files at the same time and that it takes time to other VO start working on our files. She told me to give another month for everything to become  normal and began to issue visas. She assured me they will start working on the oldest files first.

I could not determinate the validity of this information but since we did not receive ppr up to date, we can say that it's true! So faridzad like you say its will be in April nshallah!

We should give them (for the sake of our sanity) 2 more weeks so they could "settle in". Let's just try to focus on the long term goal here which is being with the person we want to spend the rest of our lives with. We cannot let this break us and crumble us. Let's try to occupy ourselves productively until the end of the month. Hope by April we'll start celebrating PPRs starting with the people who have been waiting the longest! May God be with us to give us patience to survive these rough times.

if the embassy was open in Damascus, we all were beside each other. closing and transferring caused delay in processing. first of all  they will do something on old files , and

one bye one they will complete new files.

You're 100% right because only citizens or pushing it PR holders can go into embassy but probably citizens more.

Hi. I am in the same situation as you. I got the letter that it was transfered to damascus in october but in january I found out that it is in Canada. They told that it will be transfered in march. But my ecase has never changed. I am sick of being on hold for half an hour to talk to cic. I totally gave up on knowing of actually my file made it to ankara or not. I don't really know if makes any difference if my file is kept in a dark room in ankara or canada. There are so many files in ankara already. I used to pray that atleast when they start sending files from canada to ankara atleast they send it in order the received.. But it seems like they are transfering new files and forgoten about mine. Atleast two i know two people here that applied in december or january and their file was transfered in march. But i applied in summer and still waiting.

I can understand that the proccess of some files takes longer and some less and it is all about luck. But i don't get if I need luck for my file to be transfered . Maybe I call tomorrow . But like you I can't trust cic. Because i had called earlier and told me that it was already transfered but later they said no . I hope they did not play games and honestly and straight forward and quickly answered the questions. But they always make up excuses . I never get answers to my questions when i call

I'm also in the same situation. I was approved for sponsoring my wife in mid October 2011. I was given a UCI, and when I check ecas, I only see "Application Received in Aug 2011".

How many people do you know that their application was sent after us, but already received by Ankara office?

my wife received an email reply from beirut i can t post it coz it s in french ...  But nothing really important she asked them to confirm that her file is there they didn t they just said   lebanese files got transfered from damascus to beirut lol!!! wow and they can t tell us nothing about it and they add transfering files maybe delay the process ..... it has been almost a year and her ecase the same (we received permanent residence application in march 23) , so today i sent caips request to see and to make it more clear , coz i am having hard time talking even to my wife (depression) crying .... i am willing to do a buisness right now in canada and am afraid since my wife is not here till now coz i don t wanna go into buisness and then have to go back to lebanon , dunno dear friends wat to say i read ur comments everyday in this forum i don t  comment coz am having a hard time  , i wish they can just help us i wish they can read our comments i am thinking to write a letter and send it to the minister telling what i feel about all this , our life is not a game , since we got married no stability she lives at her parents and i live here (canada) , guys i know u  all have enough problems but i can t stand iti need to share my feelings   life is short sometimes i think of just gong back to lebanon , but then i say noooo hell am stronger then this process better i don t loose a better opportunity for my future family .... i feel that all of u became my family in last 2 month reading ur stories and feeling ur suffer . i just have one more thing to say , now i know why i hate borders and passports !god bess u all and help us all

the good thing about writing anything here is that we are all in the same boat. Nobody can say that they're better or worse in the basic fundamental feelings that we all go through everyday while pausing our lives and being confused about what to do next. I know that this is a cliche but I PROMISE it helps: try to pray and engage your wife in praying together but not in a destructive manner but rather in a productive "trustful" manner in God's way. Everything happens for a reason: when it is supposed to happen. I hope I didn't seem weird, I felt a lot of despair in your speech and I thought that sharing how I started to deal with this would hopefully help you like it did me. In the whole everything happens for a reason gist: you "a silent reader" posted a note so someone like me would tell you this. Something you probably already know and just need a quick reminder of! May God answer your prayers and give you the patience and diligence needed to make the right decision for a prosperous life!
