There is so much frustration in the process that everyone is losing his patience!
I believe we have to insist on getting answers (as we did with Damascus) so they feel the pressure to work harder.

Well guys, i guess i will call it a day, i'm willingly going to withdraw my file, i can't bare this neglect from Canada which is known for the human rights, i mean we have the right to have a simple clue about our cases, it shows on the CIC site that information are updated weekly but my status has been the same since 29 MAY2011, the letter of acceptance of my wife since she is my sponsor were sent to Damascus on 5 May 2001 and since then nothing ever changed, i called them by phone twice,they said that they can not give any information, i sent several e-mails but no answer, i'm really fed up, i refused several job offers abroad but i can not be that lost anymore,i'm starting a new work in May. I've been waiting since January 2010, the lawyer is a liar, CIC do not care, problems are rising at home since no idea what shall be done.

My file also received by Damascus on May 2011 (I'm not even sure if the file is with them since I've never received the VO file number), and since then I haven't heard a single word from them.

Believe me, most of us are experiencing the same feelings, we are all hurt by being separated from our spouses. I cant count the number of nights that I've gone to my bed listening to my wife crying on the phone....that's the price we r all paying for moving to Canada....does it worth it?? I really don't know! Only time will prove if we have made a right decision. But after all the suffering, withdrawal will only makes u regret in near future. Of course, at first it will ease ur pain and cools off ur anger but that would be temporary and regret will replace those feelings pretty soon.....just think before ruining all u've built during the last 11 months.

just got an update checking ecas,

application status is changed to " In process" , it says that my application for sponsorship is received on jan03, 2012 and VO has received it on March 8 ,2012 ,

So that means it is received by ANKARA on MAR 08.
Hopefully they start to process it ASAP.     I wished

I think they are busy transfering new files to Ankara and forgot about ours that is sitting in canada since summer.
It is 4:30 in the morning and i can't sleep wondering if my file is transfered to ankara or forgotten

One more thing! We all know that "human right" concept is only a show off. Let's not fool ourselves, western countries easily use human right to blame dictatorship of middle eastern governments but when it comes to themselves they are all blind.
The biggest achievement of this long processing time is that we understand that injustice is everywhere. This way, our expectations from Canada will be modified and we will have a more realistic point of view from the society we r going to live in.

That's perfect. There r many people waiting for more than a year and their e-cas isn't updated yet.
If ur file is received by Ankara on march 8th then u just have to wait a few months to receive ur visa.
(the first step in Mississauga is completed and ur file is received by Ankara)
Saying that Ankara time-line for new applicants is around 6 to 7 months, u will be receive ur visa much faster than many other applicants.

I hope so dadash, I really do not have much excitement to go back to Canada, I actually didn't have any intentions of going back when I left in 2006, but with the situation in Iran , I rather take my family to Canada, the least it can offer is peace,

It must be real hard 4 u guys that are apart from your significant other , I feel very sympathetic with u all,

this process from what I 've heard would take 12 months tops for us new applicants, and since I am with my family it is still bearable .

I pray to god that all u guys reunite real sooooon ,

that's very good point and very realistic perspective!!! the only important thing is never forget what u left behind moving there (some people tend to do that once there)...we all the time have to remember from where we left and what we achieved have a nice day every one!!

Today, my wife was at the Visa Office to see what's going on. She saw an Iraqi guy handing his sister's passport to an officer to stamp the PR Visa, so they're working.
