Hi Guys,
That's what the MP told me. He said there is a system issue and they are fixing it.. sounded like a process issue and setting up issue. He said not sure how long its gona take but he said nothing will happen before 3-4 months ( I spoke to him last Friday March 1st).. not sure how accurate his information. I am at almost 14 months now since the file got to Syria.. we still haven't heard anything yet from them. It is very frustrating, i sent an email to inquire about my case through their special inquiry form on the embassy website and they said it would take them 28 business days to respond and I am still waiting..

God be with us all..

Regards,

I thought he was talking about only the one in Jordan as that is where my wife application is being transferred to.. When i asked him why would they transfer the files to a place if there is no system set up and why didn't they just transferred the whole files to Turkey or Lebanon.. he said they all have the same issue, so i take it they are all on hold for now..

Hi everyone

good news

My wife recieved PPR yesterday. They gave her 30 days to send her pass. Our file reached Damascus on 1-march-2011 and she redid medical exam in Nov.

It seems that they are working much faster now. I am sure all of you recieve PPR soon, stay hopeful and positive.

Hey guys!
Don't be frustrated! Here  I quoted from SnB2011! Just take a  look on it again!
His wife took Visa after 12 month! never believe what MP ,or anyone else says!
we have strong evidence (like SnB2011's case) that they are issuing visa!
Be positive!

Did they have to sent the passport to Syria to get the Visa? or just to the embassy in Jordan. Would you know? as i mentioned we are going into completing our 14 months since the application has been received by Syria and no news yet..

Thanks

Hi A+M ... what about the files that were supposed to be sent to Damascus, but because of the circumstances, it was sent directly to Ankara? Do I have to expect 14 months or 5 months? I wonder ....

What do u guys think?

Hi, it does not work that way. No one can say how long. Becuase they are not giving a timeline. It is all luck. All the numbers are avrage of 80% of cases last year. So some took 5 and some took20. The avrage in damascus was 13 and Ankara was 5. They took avrage of 80% only becuase to not include outliers in the calculation. The outliers could be the one that took exteremly long or short time. Unlike what most people think that the 20% are the cases that took longer time. They took avrage of 80% to have a higher confidence( statical).
So all the numbers are stats not deadline or timeline or waiting time. Evry case is different .depends how it is treated. If it stays in the dark room or goes to the fancy room.

However, I am sure they would not give more priority to the new cases that the old one. That just does not make any sense. Bad for me. Because mine has been sitting in mississaga since agueust.

Hi Lele, I know that they will not start from zero, but in my case when it said recvd file back in June 2011, when I clld my MP she said my file never went to Damascus and never was processed. So what now, do i wait another 12-1 months just because my file was neer processed? this is extremely frustrating......

Hi lello . Has you file been transferred yet? I am in the same situation as you. I don't think mine is transferred yet. I guess becuase there are so many Iranian.
You know what I just hope that they send the files in order . Because people now getting approvals and letters that files are transfered to damascus. I don't know what it means . Does it mean that people that get approval now their file makes thier way to ankara before our files.  I know it does not make sense but sometimes I picture my file sitting in a dark room in the basment of mississaga and forgoten about. And all the new cases are transfered

Dear Rah,
Just a little correction!
In fact the 20% IS the percentage that took more than the time posted on the website, if you go to data.gc.ca and download the excel file for spouse sponsorship you will see what I mean.
The processing times in CIC website used to be like a much more complete table about a year ago, including info such as 30% of the applications were finalized in these many months OR LESS, and then 50% in these many OR LESS and 80% these many months OR LESS ... Now they just put the 80% column there, but the complete data which is updated every 3 months can still be downloaded through data.gc.ca

In conclusion as you said it is all a matter of luck and these numbers and averages aren't any big help to anyone! Wink

Hello guys,
Our application will be in process for 16 months tomorrow! and still no response since Nov. 2011. We have sent e-mails to Damascus and Amman and filled case specific enquiries for both but it's dead silent.
Any how, I have ordered CAIPS notes early Feb and got back the report (8 pages). Unfortuenately, I can't post it becuase it's a pdf scanned file and it contains private information. The CAIPS notes were very useful, it shows all actions taken on file including e-mail correspondance.
Our file was reviewed by an officer on Aug 28th, 2011 and he/she stated that he/she will wave the interview and asked someone else to re-issue meds and request new police certificate.
We got the e-mail for about new meds and P/C the next day. We did the P/C and sent it and it shows that it was recieved by mail.We told them we did the second medical and they asked for the green slip (unfortunately, we lost our copy and we told them we sent it by mail but they insisted on the green slip copy) so we assumed it was lost and did a third one (and the CAIPS shows they got the scanned green slip by e-mail on Jan 11,2012) This is that last line in the info. Surprisingly, the CAIPS shows that they actually recieved the second meds by mail !! but they did not even bother to look at what the wrote.
We are still waiting and our file status has been changed to your file has been sent to Amman office on Feb 21. 2012 and Amman office might contact you.
I am going to order a second CAIPS next week to see what happened to the file during tthese last two months..
I hope this useful and I recommend that everyone order CAIPS notes.
Also, I read few posts by Ottawa and I support what he said 100%. Thus I myself promised my wife that If we don't get the visa by Aug. I am leaving Canada, hence I have started applying for jobs abroad. As you know Canadians (Jason Kenny) value family ties and give it the highest priority.
Good luck for all of us and I hope this nightmare ends soon

Hi Musab,
Did you go inside and speak to an officer (the ones behind the windows)

hi all
i went today to the embassy in amman and asked them about my application and when they can issue the visa, they said that they didnt work yet on files from damascus and all file pending and still in boxes, so i ask them if they gonna start issue visas in March they say no maybe in april, and i ask another question about the old files she said they going to start from the point that damascus reach, she also told me to come back next month i dont know why she ask me that, so now i dont know if they telling the truth or not and i also dont know what to believe
