 ohh sohrab919 I didn't know Ambassador Davidson still in Damascus  ,  oh yeah he is still there, he refused to leave, the US even asked Stephen harper why doesnt he leave, and stephen harper couldnt say anything Ambassador davidson is a very highly influential person in the canadian political system... i respect him more than the whole government of canada! |

to be more clear ambassador Davidson could have just left like the US and UK ambassadors, but he decided to stay because of the situation, he mentioned, if there is anything we can do we should do it ! i am not leaving until i feel i am not of any use in this country but as of right now i am wanted!
i respect him for that ...... when i left Damascus he told me the same thing, we will be here as long as there is a need... and as i was about to leave he said..... hope to see you again, have a good life my son !

How could he decide whether or not to leave Syria if a leave order were made by the foreign affairs minister?! I think we're all on a "Funny Game" between the west and Bashar Al-Assad... |

no no , dont go in person, if you have the option of courier, use it ! yes you can go to ankara but they can turn you away! keep this in mind, they are no obligated to ISSUE the visa immediately, let me give you an example, we had someone who spent 30 days in damascus to get his visa..... we made him wait, when we say 30 days, it doesnt mean AS SOON AS WE GET IT YOU ARE A PERMANENT RESIDENT, there is still a final stamping registering process, so if you want my advice, use the courier
