is it true that when it says medical exam recieved that's mean the file is in process, in other words does that means the file reached Dasmascus?

As you know we Learned that we can not count on ecase.

I got my pass request email on FEB ,20 .In the letter they just mentioned to collect visaes by commercial couriers and there is a 30 day deadline.I asked them about collecting the visaes in person in Ankara or extending the timeline as I need my passports in that timeframe.Today they replied to my request and have accept the additional extension of 30 days.Do you think if I go to Ankara ,can I
get our visaes in person?

My husband is in the process of sponsoring me. He received a letter from Mississauga in September 2011 stating that he is eligible to sponsor me and that my application has been forwarded to the visa office in Damascus. I called the CIC call center a few times and one agent told me that my file had been sent to Damascus, the other agent said it had been kept on hold in Mississauga due to the problems in Damascus and that it was never sent for further processing. After the visa office in Damascus shut down, CIC Canada told me that all applications will be forwarded to other visa offices BY March 1st. I called again today and they told me they have not sent any applications yet and that they will begin tomorrow. I asked how long it will likely take for the transfer of all applications and the call center agent said she doesn't know how many months it will take. So I am really worried now. My application is going to be sent to Israel as I am a resident of Cyprus.

stop worrying about small things nenan, its not important, this is what ive told to everyone here, my friends, people i just met, everyone!
by focusing on little details and the first thing you see or hear, all you are doing is making your own life hell, simple as that, the embassy isnt going to move any faster, a miracle isnt going to happen, so why bother...... we know what the next step is lets wait for it........ come one guys, it seems the people who just applied are less patient, tomorrow is 12 months for me..... i am as calm as the pacific ocean.... why waste energy, why stress out.... its going to happen when its supposed to.... working for CIC and going through this process has thought me that... Patience...  the one and only

Do you think Israel will be faster processing due to the fact that they are only processing applications from Israel, Cyprus, and Palestinian Authority (West Bank) ? Cyprus is a very small island...

well, to be honest with you, you should have seen the office i was working in in damascus, 10 people couldnt fit and we had 65 people working, and you have to understand what i am trying to say, i am not SAYING 200 will be working at the same time lol, there are 200 active officers, its called shift duty, ive been working for CIC for years and im used to it, and just because a Visa office is open for 8 hours (example) it doesnt mean officers stop working, when i was in damascus we worked from home, after hours, weekends, so the hours are IRRELEVANT , and trust me if they couldnt process 2000 files theyre average wouldnt be 5 months , beijing processes 7500 monthly , thats 1875 a week!

My file is Quebec SW and I'm waiting from August 2010. So I think there will be some good news for me in the next 3 months.

thats not hidden, they announced on january 31st that they will close the immigration section and focus on emergency cases, Ambassador Davidson is still in damascus...... whats so surprising my friend

no no , dont go in person, if you have the option of courier, use it ! yes you can go to ankara but they can turn you away! keep this in mind, they are no obligated to ISSUE the visa immediately, let me give you an example, we had someone who spent 30 days in damascus to get his visa..... we made him wait, when we say 30 days, it doesnt mean AS SOON AS WE GET IT YOU ARE A PERMANENT RESIDENT, there is still a final stamping registering process, so if you want my advice, use the courier
