Thanks for sharing. What the lawyer said makes Lot of sense. I think too that even vos want to work fast and finish the cases.  I heard alot of things like now they are being trained and not gonna work until ... But hard to believe. I think immigration officers like all of us are employees and at the end of the day they need to report their work and answer to their bosses. Even the vos need to answer to someone and their progress and activitoes are monitored.
So makes alot of sense that they are working hard and not sitting doing nothing
It was the best news in the last a few days

Dear rah you are absolutely right about VOS and employee and reports their bosses at the end of the day,but this delay of ppr and the VOS silent is EXHAUSTING ,DEPLETING of all our patience's weapons Huh and that make us anxious for ppr   Sad  and hallucinating  Undecided  and dreaming nightmares  Embarrassed  of more and more delay of ppr,may be sometimes I act  in irrational way and can't see to that delay of pr in rational way ,,,I hope all that will end soon  Wink  please Amman,Ankara,Beirut VOS >>Work hard to issue visas for us very soon and then you will win by making good reputation of your new offices  Grin
Cheesy  I hope they care for the  Good reputation of their offices

We are in the same situation. The file of my wife reach damascus on december 15, 2010. They ask her to redo medical back in october 2011. Since october I receive a e-mail from damascus tell that they are waiting for security checks to go to the next stage of processing and that once results are received they will contact me.

I am lebanese so the file of my wife been transfert to beirut now. You are from witch country?.

Hi Wardeh..
Did your husband get the Visa yet? I am in the same situation if not worse, i applied to sponsor my wife in Dec 2010 and then the file went to in process in Dec 2011. My wife got a letter in Jan 2012 to renew the medical exam and then we heard immigration section in Syria is closed. I have no clue where we are at now and I am very frustrated so I am looking for ppl on this forum to see if they are having same problem. It has been 13 months and 2 weeks since the application has been received by the Canadian embassy in Damascus. Sad

Dear Sohrab,

First of all thanks for sharing good new. but I have some doubt about your news.
You mentioned that there will be more than 200 officers working on the files. did you check the building of the Canada embassy in Ankar? do you think 200 officer can even be fit in that building?HuhHuh? it doesn't seem to be reasonable.

second how many ours per week they are going to work on our files? as you mentioned there are more than 2600 files. you know how long it takes to finilize them?

I wish your concern in true and they are going to finilize more than 2000 files in just 2 or 3 months?!!!!! but if we think just for seconds it's not reasonable.

Regards,

hello dear friend,
well, to be honest with you, you should have seen the office i was working in in damascus, 10 people couldnt fit and we had 65 people working, and you have to understand what i am trying to say, i am not SAYING 200 will be working at the same time lol, there are 200 active officers, its called shift duty, ive been working for CIC for years and im used to it, and just because a Visa office is open for 8 hours (example) it doesnt mean officers stop working, when i was in damascus we worked from home, after hours, weekends, so the hours are IRRELEVANT , and trust me if they couldnt process 2000 files theyre average wouldnt be 5 months , beijing processes 7500 monthly , thats 1875 a week!

i didnt post here to make things reasonable or to make people feel good just for fun, i went through the connections i had, i used all the resources and shared the information, you are more than welcome to be skeptical about everything .... it doesnt insult me or anything, its fine, you know what im lying.... every member in this forum has the right to think the way they want to, they read one thing they digest another, i had one purpose and that was to help as much as i could and i feel that i have,
so you or anyone can think for as long as you like and doubt me and say its not reasonable , thats your right, i took the time to explain even though i didnt have to

stop worrying about small things nenan, its not important, this is what ive told to everyone here, my friends, people i just met, everyone!
by focusing on little details and the first thing you see or hear, all you are doing is making your own life hell, simple as that, the embassy isnt going to move any faster, a miracle isnt going to happen, so why bother...... we know what the next step is lets wait for it........ come one guys, it seems the people who just applied are less patient, tomorrow is 12 months for me..... i am as calm as the pacific ocean.... why waste energy, why stress out.... its going to happen when its supposed to.... working for CIC and going through this process has thought me that... Patience...  the one and only

I just have a question,

is it true that when it says medical exam recieved that's mean the file is in process, in other words does that means the file reached Dasmascus?
