It's to their own discretion. Awhile back when I alsked them if I should redo my medical they said its best you wait until we inform you because sometimes we can let it by even if your medical expired. Now I don't know what that depends on and not sure how many people actually have been in this type of situation but seeing how we are so eager to get our spouses here to Canada, we'll do anything just so we don't delay the process |

you cannot enter canada with an expired medical assessment, ive renewed mine and there MANY others who have also, as far as the status, dont even worry about it, its not accurate, it doesnt work, it doesnt mean anything, there are people who LANDED in canada and their CIC says APPLICATION RECIEVED |
