Good Morning Everyone
Today I called CIC, as I expected my file is still in Canada and the agent told me that it will be held in Canada until 1st of March. I wanted to know where to send supporting documents to help my case and she told me I have to wait until the application reaches Ankara, she advised me to call back the first week of March to locate my file again.

Hello, I hope that this week we will have at least one ppr. The file is transfered so they started working on our files. My wife is pregnant and it's been almost 14 months that her file is in process, I want her to be with me here in Montreal. Just tell you that on the site of the Canadian Embassy in Beirut, there is the following message: Please note that the Canadian Embassy in Lebanon will be closed Wednesday, February 29, 2012 for training purposes. For any questions related to visa applications and immigration, please refer to the appropriate sections on our website or CIC. I think it was related to the tranfer of files and they train other agent. So, its a good news for us. I love realism, BUT you have nothing to back this up with-your just being a pessimist. Note, someone did receive PPR last month, it was scarycemetry and she was saying that the embassy had other people picking up visas too (this was in Lebanon). So not to be rude, or to burst your realism bubble but please know all the facts before stating such false things, because some people would really take your post to heart and get really depressed Good luck to all. xoxo |

This is what I think is going on; Files started getting transfered at the end of December and all of January and they didn't tell anyone until all files were transfered that they Embassy would actually close (because I called once in the middle of January and right when I said my husbands from Beirut she said they they will be contacting him from Lebanon-hence they were starting the transfer). Also, people that have files still in Canada will be transfered to the desginated VO's in March. But why March? I think its because they are trying to lessen the load of the files they already transfered from Damascus, and then start on the ones they haven't even transfered Positive thinking will attract positive things |
