Who is the sponsor? you or your wife? are you both in Canada?
If you are both in Canada then you can get the CAIPS or GCMS under the privacy act and you'll not need the consent form. If not then you'll need the consent form and you should choose access to information and you have to pay $5.

I would've advised you to actually go ahead and redo your meds; however, with the current situation in Damascus, we don't really know where each nationality's files would be transferred to, so better to wait until you get advised of your new VO. After you conclusively find out about your VO, redo your medical and keep the green slip with you.(After you check which office you need to send the medicals to).

In this situation the best thing is waiting till a reaction from embassy.

forget about that request ...redo medical with your request ..i myself redo , i didn't wait for their request

im not sure , but i think 40 % they work on Friday and Saturday ..i think they don't have enough time for forwarding and transfering files...
