Damascus office  is not suitable, maybe for the Iranian  want to send  to Ankara or Tehran,

I'm very sorry I have not been writing! Just been busy lately, but 7amdillah our process is over! The embassy in Syria called my husband today and asked him to send his passport and two photos to the embassy here in Beirut. They said they will stamp the visa in the Beirut office and to come get it on Monday...which I was confused about but I guess the situation in Syria is getting worse. Inshallah everyone will finish soon! One year and 9 days in Damascus for us

I use CICI and I'm satisfied, very good sound quality all the time plus the rates are reasonable

There are also long international long distance companies you can use. I use startech or comwave to call my husband in Iran. rate to a landline in Iran is about 6 cents/min. you can hook it up to house or cell- if you call out with your cell you dial a local number first. we 've had a good experience with startech. and the good thing is the calls are then traceable if VO asks for proof of continuing communication. (you get phone bill showing numbers called) whereas phone cards are not traceable.
