hey friends, i hope everyone is doing well, wow what a quite month so far, maybe i shouldnt have left after all lol
anyways i think we should all forget about the transfer rumors because if they were going to transfer file they wouldnt be accepting new ones, damascus is receiving new files everyday so yeah the transfer thing is highly unlikely at the moment

thank you for your kind replies, Hopefully the next coming weeks will be good for us and all of us get PR's. I have a question, when applying to get GCMS notes, should my wife put access to information act or privacy act? and in both cases, does she need a consent from me to get those GCMS notes? Also, since we applied, we did not get any update at all since they received out file at VO, we did not even receive RQ nor paper requests which i saw couple of members on the excel sheet you guys created did... should I be worried??

Because 2 different ppl, calling the embassy have received the same answer that embassy will be closed by the end of jan. but as Sohrab told, it is very unlikely to happen.

I think we need to all try and contact the embassy. 100 of us. Let them know that we have reached our limits and that they cant treat us like that.

For God's sake Canada goes around the world telling dictatorships to respects humans.

They need to practice that too.

I just finished a call with the embassy (after many trials) a lady answered. I asked if they are still processing sponsorship applications, since our application has been there for more than 14 months! she said we still have all the files now but please be patient as we will transfer all the files to different locations by the end of this month since the embassy is going to close. and she added that they will tell us where our files at.
So, there you go it's obviously not a rumor

wowwwwwwwwww , embassy called me right now ..they tried to call our house and anyone answered and then called to my cellphone...the lady told me be advised your application is ready for forward to turkey ( Ankara ) ..i wondered and phone cut after 1 min she called again and then said don't worry your application will reach another office ( Ankara ) and goes to continue.. i asked her, will all of Iranian's sponsorship application froward to Ankara ? and she replied ..yes ..one bye one and suddenly ghat shod dobareh  phone...

So i think they will transfer application end of this month  because they transferred some category to another office before new year such as Warsaw and Turkey.
and it takes about three or four days and they got one email that your case transferred to this office .

I know the whole process is very nerve-racking; however, there r other embassies worse than ours like Pakistan and U.A.E.........
Don't u worry, all this unrest in Syria will force Damascus either to speed up the process or to transfer the files. And both scenarios r good!

yeeeeeeeees UAE is reaaaaaaally slow; u can have 2 kids until they r done, if anyone insists even 3 LOL and then u have to update lots of forms  but even from there i heard positive stories when u think u have to wait 2 years and u finish in 1 year, u r sooo happy

hey everyone, good morning / good night first don't worry, transferring the file does not mean they will start the process from 0, they will just continue the work they r doing now; i don't know but my common sense tells me that it might even b the same officer working on it but from another location; i mean, ok the embassy closes, so what? will the officers just have a long term vacation, or get fired? i don't think so (like usual, i hope that sohrab could clear this ) also i really really don't think it's a good idea to just call them 100 of us, obviously they r very busy with very limited resources....so just be patient, it's clear that they will call u, as they did already with some members
