Hi Koottukaare,
I have landed in winnipeg on 3rd of may. This is a good part of canada. I am getting good opening in my sector within this few days.
NOTHING TO WORRY
Canada is very much promising and welcoming people. This is my understanding about winnipeg within this span of time.
Very much helping, polite and manners, vow i love those amazing manners in talks and walks.
For instance: I was searching for start entry program office to register, i could not find it for a while. I entered a office to enquire about the office. I started to enquire with a lady in reception. She was not quiet sure about the place and then she started to ask every staff of the office. This was a govt office. At last i found a group of people(staff) are running to get me the right direction.
I felt amazing and thought of govt offices in our country.
They started searching thru internet and given me the print out of the map marking the route with a marker pen.
This was one of the wonderful experiences i had on this promising land.
so dont wory
you will love canada for sure.

Total complete applications received since July 1, 2011 The cap has been reached. CIC has received 10,000 complete Federal Skilled Worker applications for processing since July 1, 2011. However, certain applications are still eligible for processing. From now until June 30, 2012, we will only consider applications: •with an offer of arranged employment, or •submitted under the PhD stream (see below) until the cap of 1000 applications is reached. If new Ministerial Instructions are not issued before July 1, 2012, the current cap of 10,000 new applications will re-set on that date.

with the God's grace i am going to fly on 28th of this month from Cochin to Toronto
experienced guys please lead me on my few doubts...
1. do i need to carry photographs of my wedding ring and a small chain which i am currently using?
2. what all things do i need to write on B4a........
3. which the best form for POF DD or cash ?
4. does any one took travel insurance from here? or shall we take it from there? which is the best?
5. my accommodation i arranged on 1210/30 Malta Avenue, Brampton, ON. is there any one from there?
6. my wife and kid not flying with me, hoping to bring them within few months. i hope i dont need to show POF on there arrival, right ?
all kind of helps will be highly appreciable and heaps and heaps of thanks in advance............

Yes. 2 Copies of it.
2. what all things do i need to write on B4a........
Everything . Clothes, utensils, electronics , food items etc etc
3. which the best form for POF DD or cash ?
I would advice DD. Or if you are a PR, go and get an account opened in scotia bank and get a POF receipt from the bank.
4. does any one took travel insurance from here? or shall we take it from there? which is the best?
Depends. You are coming in end of spring/summer. You should be ok for 3 months unless you have current medical concerns.

Brampton is a thickly populated north indian [punjab] area. You will feel comfortable.

low cost of living and better opportunities.
weather not bad. seems to be common weather every where in canada. earlier winnipeg was one of the coldest province and winters were 8 months in a year.
now it is 3 months in a year. climate changed for winnipeg a lot.
i hope this answers your query in a better way.
