Hi all,

Here is my Application status:

Sent docs to local CHC: Sep 2009
Ecase: Recieved by Visa office
Sent Status Query to local CHC in April 2010, They Replied that "The case is Under Study" and they provided new File number B.........
Current Ecase Status Still Recieved by visa office.
CHC: Damascus
I'm really not so sure what is the real status of my file, Does the above means that its in process, but Ecase not yet Updated!!! It has been now over 8 months sice i sent supporting docs to Local CHC, when approx should i recieve medals+RPRF??

Seniors, I really appreciate your input here.

It seems Damascus has stoped processing applications which have recieved under fast track (FSW1 class) after June 2009, because I know many applicants whose Ecase are still " Recieved by Visa office" for about 11 months!!!!.
If anyone knows more information about this situation, Please comment on this issue.

I have heard Damascus is one of the slowest. I also can see the process is going very slowly in comparison with other CHC's such as New Delhi.
But stopping the process is something serious. We have to make sure if it is true or not.
Vahid, could you elaborate more on why you think they have stopped? Is there any references or valid sources?
I hope they are not going to keep us waiting for months....
Anyone else has any news from Damascus?!?!

Guys,

Look, as you can see I have written it seems they have stopped. I have said this is situation because as you know, Damascus is responsible for Iranian applicants who are majority of  Damascus applications. I'm tracking Iranian forum from one year ago.  The status of Those applicants, whose applications are submitted before July 2009  have changed to “in process” maximum in December 2009 but  approximately all of applications which are submitted after June 2009 are still in “received by visa office” status  and they have not ever changed Ecase during last 11 months. What I have written is base on my day to day tracking of Iranian forum so I think they have stopped to process but I didn't know the reason. Maybe Damascus fast track FSW1 has reached to max of visa quota limit but you know Damascus VO has written in 2nd file number AOR, it takes 12 months to finalize fast track application which I thinks nowadays it is not correct but I did not know why Damascus VO has insist to send this incorrect AORs.
If anyone has more info please let me know.

well the visa office didn't send me 2nd AOR!! what happened is that in April 2010 i asked my lawyer to send them case Query, which they did, and CHC Replied back by fax and Provided new AOR Written by hand and wrote as well that this case is still under Study.

It took around 3 weeks for my Ecase to change to Recieved by visa office.

Well for sure no one can give a precise response to this issue but the CHC-Damascus people.
Anyway, what you have mentioned seems quite serious since it is based on your case by case tracking and observation.

Do you know any forum where there are more Iranians to share timelines?
I launched a thread for Damascus people here:

Such threads will give hints about how fast the VO is processing the applications.
But so far there are very few or may be they did not show up.
I would appreciate if you and Hassan would join this thread and also let me know any other forum in which more Iranians are there to share timelines.

At the moment CIC estimates 80% of cases in Damascus to be finished in 12 months.
However there are people who are many who are awaiting medical for more than 10 months.
How about sending a query to CIC and query about the FSW processing blockage at Damascus CHC.
They may transfer some applications to other CHC's or assign a second one.
Any other solution?

As per CIC web site, processing time of Damascus VO for finalizing 80% of clients is 6 months.

however it has passed for example 10 months but many clients have not changed their Ecase to " in process"  !!.
regarding sending case specific enqury, I know they will reply a regular template that case is in a queue for review by a case officer.

I've been advised by my lawyer to wait till end of june, and then we can send another status query by then.

I'm not really convinced that processing for new FSW is really stopped in damascus, rather i would agree that it is slow.I wouldn't even expect that they send as well new FSW to other visa offices like warsaw!!

I know its bit challenging to wait but i think this is the only option we have till now!!

Yeah, it is 6 months and this makes the issue even more severe.
You are right about the VO response.
How about sending an inquiry/suggestion to the CIC itself rather than the VO?
