My Husband and I have been married since Jan. 1st 2011.  We finally got our application all finished and COMPLETE and sent in.  We have a very routine application....no previous marriages....no kids....no medical or criminal issues....

Has anyone recently had there application processed?  How long did it take to get the thumbs up?  CIC website says 11 months but Ive heard from others in previous years that it only took about three months....any comments???

Please help me figure out if we really should expect the 11 months

80% processed in 11 months. Some are processed faster than the posted time; some longer. Waiting and not knowing is the hardest part, in my opinion. I'd set your mind for an 11 month wait; then if you get processed in less than 10 you will be delighted.  Grin

Yes - based on the experiences on this board, the 3-4 month PR approvals were more of a last year phenomenon and things have unfortunately slowed down this year.

What do you think about my husband coming to Canada to stay with me while we wait out the PR? on a visit?  for a month or so.....others have said it wasn't a problem once they had the sponsorship approval.....
