CURRENT OCCUPATION - IMM 0008 GENERIC

Dear Friends

we seek your guidance.

we are applying under NOC 3112 --GP.In the form IMM 0008 E GENERIC what shall i mention in current occupation.Since after coming to UAE my wife has been unemployed(she is the principal applicant).She has more  than 3 years work exp prior to 2009 march.
but soon after coming here she couldnt work as she had to clear the screening exam for foreign doctors in UAE.Subsequently we started a family and now our son is too young for her to work.

Currently she is at home unemployed and being a housewife.

In this case shall i mention the current occupation as housewife or unemployed or something else.


please advise friends.

Hello Ayazf,

I just checked the form you referred to and the word  'current' is not there. I'm not sure if we look into the same form. Under section 11 Personal History, you need to list all of her work history as well others. You can use 'unemployed' as it was put as an example. Nonetheless, nothing to worry as CIC checks her experience in the last 10 years.
