Hi All,

I have recently started looking into QSW option for migrating to Canada. I would appreciate if someone can help me calculate my points for CSQ and tell me if my application would qualify under the minimum points required to file or not.

1. My Education = MS in Information Studies (US) + B. Tech in IT (India)
2. My Experience for last 5 yrs =  4+ yr exp as Business Analyst in Sales Operations in US (full time) + 1yr as Teaching Assistant in University (US - part time while I was a student)
3. My Age = 29
4. My Lang Proficiency = French - 0; English - Advance (TOEFL - 273 taken in 2004 and working in US all this while)
5. Spouse Age = 29
6. Spouse Education = MBA from US, Msc - Community Resource Mgmt from India
7. Spouse Proficiency = French - 0, English (IELTS - OVERALL - 7; Listening - 7; reading - 6; writing 7.5; speaking - 7)
8. Funds = Sufficient funds
9. Family = Bro stays in Canada bt not Quebec

I would really appreciate all the help and looking forward to your reply soon. Thanks!

do u have child or not.
quebec is the french province so even u have enough point for eligible. you should take french laguage course.
minimum 1 years.

Thanks for your reply. We do not have a child. I have not studied french but my wife enrolled herself to Alliance Francaise - Level 1A. Unfortunately, she could not complete the course as she got admit in her masters and had to leave the country. She can speak/understand French (basic). I believe she still has her Admit card for AF with her. I am not sure if this is a useful information to include application or mention during interview.

I would really appreciate if you can help me calculate my points based on my information above. Thanks!

Dear Can_am
You are OK with all the catagories except French, And let me tell you one the french language is THE MOST IMPORTANT factor in the selection process. Enroll in Alliance francaise. And send CHC the scanned student card to show your intention to learn french to live in a french society. And by the time your interview will come u should have studied 150 hours in AF and done with DELF A2. And DELF A1 is enough for your wife. And 0 Point for relative living outside quebec.

hi lhr*...thanks for the update. I will submit the application and we shall see how it turns out. Also, quick question, do I have to submit the copy of academic certificate and work experience of my spouse with the application? Please guide on the same. Thanks!
