Hi netexpert2006,
I am also applying as a resident of Pakistan. I am just waiting for my TEFaq results to submit my application (hopefully within a month's time). I will really appreciate if you can let me know about your application timeline and i will do the same. BTW, what is ur training area (is it in the list of preferred training area)?

Hi Shahzad

I intend to apply for CSQ from HK BIQ. Would appreciate if you guide me over the following:

- My education (03 years degree - BBA) can get me how many points on the scoring table? Is it 10 as per the scoring table given on url canadavisa?
- Similarly would I be able to get points for training as my training area falls under section`c` on CSQ training list?
- A two year bachelors in computer sciences can fetch how many points as degree and training? I am unable to find that area?
- I am through with IELTS with good bands and looking forward to join AF for french learning, can I submit my application now w/o evidence of french (which I may submit at later stages once I obtain it)??
- I am applying with my wife + two kids, it is going to cost CAD$840, post payment of this cost, how much additional cost would I be incurring till finalization of PR?

I would really appreciate reply since this is the thing which is holding me to apply. Thanks

Hi ok1,
I am planning to apply very soon too. Where are you from? based on what I have reading on the websites, i hope the following might help you:
- A bachelors degree of 3 years is awarded 10 points
- if you have a foreign degree under section "c" and you are the principal applicant, you will be awarded 6 points
- according to the list of preferred training area, a foreign degree/ training in computer science is awarded 6 points for principal applicant (provided u got this degree within 5 years preceding your application to CSQ if i am not mistaken)
-since french is one of the main criteria for quebec immigration, i would advise u to take the TEFaq test before applying because there is a high risk they might not process your case until the receipt of the test result (tht was the case for one of my friends). What is your level of french?
-for the costs: CAD$840 for CSQ, CAD$1400 for federal and CAD$980 for Right of Permanent Residence Fee if application is successful. then you have pay for medical fees and don't forget postal charges Smiley

I really hope it helps.
Regards
Shahzad

HI all !
I've same question like ok1. I have 2 years master degree in computer science. do I get 6 points from area of training ? in the list there are only 3 years bachelor degree in computer science. So i'm confuse !
and in children points. I've 2 childrens below 12 which will get 8 points. but In my friends case the points from children didn't . It will be add if you score pass marks which is 57. Is it true ? plz confirm it
