I was convicted of an aggravated felony, served my time(6 years), was released in 2004 and was deported. My spouse has already submitted the paperwork for PR and has a filing number already.
Can I still be sponsored by my spouse for PR?

I know somebody who was charged with drug trafficking and spent 3 years in prison in USA and was deported back to his country of origin.  After less than one year he got married to somebody in Canada and he she was able to sponsor him here.  I am not sure how they did it.

Thanks for responding. Do you know if they had to apply for rehabilitation?
