will the immigration department in canada do a credit check on me in london. please let me know.

The CIC is responsible for immigration and not credit controlling.
However, when you fill in and submit the "Personal Net Worth Statement" form, you will need to be honest and any false information may lead to misrepresentation and that can be "fatal".

I submitted mine I have $11,000 in the bank in cash which I have declared and paying off loans I have quite rapidly. I will be able to produce 3 months statements from my savings account. Hopefully thats going to be good enough
