Today, ie., 13-01-11, I got a message from my credit card department that CIC have withdrawn money from my account. does this mean that they accepted my application, if yes what is the next step here on wards? when will i get my file number, 1st AOR? when they will send my documents to CHC VO New Delhi for further processing? So should i start applying for pcc as i heard that pcc from usa takes nearly 3-months. Can anyone(Senior's) clearly let me understand the steps here onwards. My agent said that according to new rules, i need to wait for 4-months to get some information from cic. is it true? I'm very confused as rules keep changing. My agent also said that there will be no 120-days period to submit remaining documents. Anybody Please clarify my doubts. Thanks in advance!

so Do i have to send another set of documents to VO New Delhi or will CIC only send it to them? Also when will i get my file number? what is the validity of pcc? should i wait for VO New delhi to send me request to submit pcc or should i apply now itself. if i apply now and i get my pcc may be in 2-months time, then how long will it be valid?

1st AOR when your immigration experience under NOC is eligible by CIC. (Valid through upto when you land in canada) 2nd AOR you will get when you send your complete package to Local CHC. (this mostly for communication with Local CHC)

Hi Arcticmaple. I am confused here. Are you a pre or POST 26/06 applicant? If you are POST June, 2010 then come to the thread Applications after 26/6 and ask to have your information added to the tracker. You will then get a clearer picture of timelines. After your fees are cashed, it seems to be around 4 months to get your first Positive Evaluation Receipt (PER named by the thread and something like the old AOR1) and this is what your agent has told you as well. We believed that our applications would be forwarded from CIO to VO, but there appears to be some confusion on the part of CIO about a few of them right now. Come and read the thread and you will find lots of knowledgeable people to answer your questions. There are many differences between the processing of the pre and post June applications. Congratulations on having your fees cashed. This is the first step and indicates your application submission is complete. It will now go on to be assessed whether or not it meets the requirements. If it does you will get notification (PER), if not they will refund your fees. Almost all applications have proceeded to assessment stage after fees are taken. It is a good sign. Good Luck

Pippin is right. As per new rules it takes 4 months to get PER on your complete package. They are taking 4 months because now applicants send their complete package to CIC post 06/26 and to assess all documents it takes time. However, after applying cap on NOC work load of CIC has reduced significantly and you can expect speedy response. With a cap of 20,000 on selected NOC categories only 6188 applications have been accepted as of January 10, 2011 and put into processing. Earlier, this figure was very huge and thus two AORs but now only one and that is PER (Positive Evaluation Reciept) or NER (Negative Evaluation Reciept). For assessment CIC will check if you are getting 67 points minimum and your all documents are in place subject to verification. Since, you have cleared first stage of credit card being charged you can be assured that all documents are in place and you should get PER by April. Good luck with your application.

Dear navneetgarg, Thanks for your reply. so when will i get the request to submit my pcc? Is it during this initial 4-months period at CIC or after once it goes to VO New Delhi? Since pcc from USA takes nearly about 3-months, should i apply now for it or should i wait till i receive request from CIC to submit pcc to them? Do i need to apply for state police clearance apart from FBI? Also when will i get my file number? is it after i get PER or before it? Also i didn't get any kind of information or e-mail from CIC about withdrawing money from my credit card. only bank sent me a message saying that cic have withdrawn money from my account. will i get any confirmation regarding this? How long would be the processing time after receiving PER? Thanks regards, arcticmaple.
