Hi,

I applied for VISA card in TD Bank but they reject it by saying that my details are matching with someone else who has a very bad track record. I don't know how this happen. Even now I am not able to get secured credit card. Bank has asked me to call and rectify your problem own your own.

they have given me the toll free numbers of Eqfix ans Transunion.

I don't know how to deal with this problem. I don;t have any relation with the othre guy even my full name along with DOB and parents names are not same. Both according to TD Bank and BMO i faced the same problem.

PLEASE anyone can help me.

Call Eqfix ans Transunion. Explain the situation, give your full details. May be you are the victim of identity theft.

It could be identity theft or a bill you forgot to pay. Cheesy
1. Get a copy of your credit report - you get one free a year.
2. Place a fraud alert on your profile
3. If there are items that you dispute, work with them to "clean" it - communicate in writing and keep records
4. Wait 6 months before you apply again
