I sent my full application after 26/6/10 and i provided credit card details. They tried to charge my credit card but received a message that they needed to phone my credit card company.(securuty procedures due to the amount)

Suprisingly they phoned my credit card company, and then received an approval telephonically. However, my credit card company informed me that CIO have still not actually deposited/charged the amount, they have an authorisation on the amount which they received telephonically.

I know usually they just send back the application but in my case they phoned for an authorisation which they received. My concern is that they have still not completed the transaction and used the authorisation. It has been 5 days since they received the telephonic authorisation.Any advise in this regard, may be with the new applications, they actually phone do get approvals if requested.

Don't worry, if your Bank has authorized the charge made by CIO, it will get debited soon. Usually their is time gap from the date of charge to the actual appearance of the charge in your Credit Card account/statement.
Check whether your Credit Limit is blocked with the amount ($ 550 or whatever based on your family configuration).

If yes, then you are good.... don't worry!

Thanks for the reply but what worries me is that they did not receive a automatic approval, it was refused and  CIO were told to call for approval.

They called and received the approval but have stil not used it according to my credit card company.Usually they charge immediately and furthemore they dont usually call, i haerd if there is a problem they just send back the application.

Are they actually bothering to call for authorisations now and i still dont understand why they have not used the authorisation and charged the card.
