I received a text from my bank that the payment to Immigration canada was declined, I have called bank who said they had a problem and that now the payment will go through. Will the CIO try to process the payment again or is it done and they will reject my application?

I called their office and the woman there said that my file is still open and has not been closed yet, she wouldn't give me any more info and said to e-mail them which I did.

Please let me know if you have any previous experience or are an expert on such subjects.

Thanks

That's true, CIO will try again, meanwhile did you inform your home country credit card bank or company about this fees transactions?  because many credit card banks dont recognized this transaction so, thats why declined before to some members.

Usually CIO makes two attempts to charge Credit card. But, if you have not informed credit card customer care about your upcoming CAD transaction, there is good chance that company will decline the transaction leading to a rejection of your application. It has happened to others before. Please check with credit card as to how many times CIO has attempted to charge the card. You may still have a chance if credit card company can help you with this.

They have tried two times in the first instance (within 10 min time), does this mean that its done or will they try on another day. The lady I talked to said that the file was still open and this was about an hour after.

When you say they try to process the payment 2 times is that done on the same day or different days. There was 2 tries within 1 min of each other and both were declined. I have sorted everything with my bank and if thye try now it will work, please let me know if you have nay info
