Has anyone written a covering letter when applying to Intake Office?
Is it worth the extra effort to maybe give a summary of points you believe you should be getting?

Thanks

not required, but it won't harm.

i had sent a covering letter, but in those days, there was no ready checklist. So, it was better having the cover letter to organize the application form.

I am not an expert. I have learnt from www.cic.gc.ca, EG7, OP6 and this forum. Use these resources and take your decisions.

Me too!. I never made a covering letter. But any one plans to do will not hurt. Only thing, make it simple.

Cover letter with bit of introduction about yourself along with details how your application is organized will give better impression. I suggest go for cover letter. I sent detailed cover letter with my application.

Thanks all for suggestions. I have written a short note to thank person for considering the application.
I have also laid out/summarised my points which I believe I am eligible for. That's all I have put down on the paper.
As mentioned - I have kept it very simple!
