good day! I have encountered several posts here saying that they included a cover letter for their application. Is this a requirement, if so, can anyone provide a format as to the wordings and such? Thank you!  Grin

No, you don't require a cover letter, UNLESS there is something that is not explained in the application and you wish to amplify it.

PMM is correct

However there is a statement on 2 forms, one form for the sponsor and one for the applicant that says something along the lines of "On a separate piece of paper list any additional details that will further prove your relationship" (not sure of the wording)

We both wrote one in our own words how we met, what we did during our relationship, our feelings for eachother, where we lived and how we aquired our home, our vacation and how we feel about being apart.

I think it will be useful as we were able to answer any questions that might arise in the application that wouldn't of otherwise

oh yes we certainly did those "additional rel'p details"  on separate sheets. but what i meant abt cover letter is like a front pager introductory letter for the entire application package Smiley
