Counselling as a profession

I am a fully qualified practising counsellor in India likely to be migrating in a few months from now. I do plan to continue in the same profession in Canada in one of the following fields.Either as an academic and student counsellor,employee and employer counsellor, family and marriage counsellor. I have also done my Post Graduation in Personnel management and Industrial Relations in addition to Masters in Psychology and a Diploma in Guidance and Counselling.

Counselling seems to be an occupation coming under the regulated category in Canada. Would someone enlighten me about the license procedures and about the further course that I may have to complete in Canada before I could start practising as a counsellor. What are the prospects for a professional counsellor in the job market in Canada? I may also be prepared to volunteer my services for a social services organisation initially mainly to acquire local experience.
