Dear all,

I am a landed immigrant and i got Canadian passport three years ago.

Due to my birth country doesn't allow dual nationality, now i want to give up my Canadian nationality and get my homeland nationality back, how can i do? Also i still want to live and work here. Will i even lost my permanent residency obligation or do i need to apply for permanent resident again??

Best regard,

Peter

Apply for your home country visa stay there atleast 6-7 years without any notice to Canada and your Citizenship will be automatically cancelled. But your PR status will also be lost. Talk to CIC.

Legal Decisions always has its own process. The enforceability, Circumstances and Eligibility. Let it process without any hindrance. Peace!

There is no automatic cancellation of Canadian Citizenship, you must renounce your Canadian citizenship.

4.7. Applicant loses status

Citizenship judges must be sure that applicants understand that when citizenship is renounced, they have no status in Canada. A person who renounces Canadian citizenship is subject to enforcement action under the Immigration Act.
