COPR - US border
«
on:
January 15, 2011, 03:33:05 pm »
what is COPR ? Can it be used in place of PR card (in case it takes longer to receive my PR card). I will be back to US after landing and then in couple of days I will return to CA.
If not COPR, what are my options ?
thanks.

COPR = confirmation of PR and yes, you can use it to get into Canada if you don't have your PR card yet. The only problem is if you are not visa exempt to Canada and are going by plane, the airline will likely not let you board the plane in which case you would need the embassy in the US to give you a travel document.
