Hello everyone,

I have a question which requires immediate solution. I am a 41 years old woman who want to apply for a study permit. I am having troubles in some parts of the application form. Here is that part.

__________________________________________________________
"    APPLICATION FOR A STUDY PERMIT MADE OUTSIDE OF CANADA

PART 1

Will accompany you to Canada? Yes / No   (this question is above the 2nd question)   "

__________________________________________________________

Which option should I choose? Because my only child whose attending a university in B.C. is in Canada. I will stay with him in Canada if I am granted to a visa, but does it mean that he is accompanying to me to Canada? I will add him into my visa application for sure, but please help me with if I should choose Yes or No.

Then I am not sure with the 13th question. Here is the question:

"   During the past 5 years have you or any family member accompanying you lived in any other country than your country of citizenship or permanent residence for more than six months?

If answer to question 13 is "yes", list countries and lenght of stay   "

My son has been living in Canada for 9 months. This 13th question is somewhat connected with the first question that I asked.
Please help me asap. I appreciate your helps. Thank you all.

I think you should choose "No" for the Question "Will accompany you to Canada? Yes / No" as your son is already in Canada.

I am assuming that your son is already on study permit. You can call the Canada Visa Office in your country just to make sure about it.

Thank you. But I have to submit my visa application as soon as possible. And I could not get any response from the visa section in my country due to summer time. Please help me. I am waiting for a response from people who are sure about my case.

Look up the word "accompany" you son is not accompanying you as he is already in Canada with a study permit, so the answer is no.  Submit a copy of his study permit with your application.

Thank you very much, PMM. I appreciate it. Even though I checked the word "accompany' many times, I was just unsure about the question. Just a language thing. So question 13th is also negative = no, isn't it? Because it says 'any family member accompanying you". As no one will accompany me, I will check "No" for Q 13. Thanks again. Have a pleasure day.
