Considering options.

Hi everyone.
We are considering moving to Canada possibly British Columbia. I am currently in my final year of a Degree in Education and then want to pursue 12 months teacher training. However I have been told that the Graduate Teacher programme that I complete in the Uk will not be recognised in Canada. Is this true?
Would I be able to carry on my Teacher training if we get accepted into Canada or would have have to re due my Degree again. Ireally dont know which is the best way to go. My Husband has an HNC and has owned his own business for the past five years. Not sure whether this would help with our application. Another question Ive got is once you get accepted into Canada can you then stay permanently or do our children have to apply for their own visa when they are 21 like they would have to in the USA? We are very new to this so lots of advise would be great!!

Hi there!

First thing you should do when you're all new at this visa-stuff is to read.
Then read again, bookmark, and then read it all once more.

There is so much information out there and once you start your search you'll come across many other things that you never thought would come in handy, but they do in the end. 
I could answer your questions but I do urge you to find them yourself.

Start on this forum and work your way around.
Go see www.cic.gc.ca
Find out what kind of visas there are and which one would suit you best.

I have no clue on what would be usefull for you to know, because I have no insight in the details of your situation.
Get used to finding your own way.
This may seem harsh but once you get to Canada, you will have to do the same thing.
