hello there,

I have been reading this forum and found almost all the information i needed, i have few questions hope someone will be able to answer me, i am currently self employed and having a shop my duties and employment requirements are quite similar to the 0621 Retail Trade Managers, I am MBA (International Business) graduate from UK, so i think my education is also relating to my job title,. my other points are satisfactory i only have confusion regarding the work experience, now my question is what is the difference between skill 0 and skill A.?.. and is 1year of work experience as a self employed in 0621 makes me eligible or do i need more experience in it coz at NOC website it is mentioned that Several years of related retail sales experience at increasing levels of responsibility are usually required. I am lookin forward to ur reply, Thanx in advance..

0621 is not a qualified occupation on the list of "38" http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/department/media/backgrounders/2008/2008-11-28a.asp

PMM is right.
The list of 38 professions is the CRUCIAL criteria you have to satisfy to qualify under FSW category.
- Next, If u qualify under the category and have a Profession which is in the 38 list  then for QUALIFYING POINTS (need 67 or more points) your previous and present professions(for the last 10 yrs) will be considered.
-Only occupations that fall in Skill Type 0 or Skill Levels A or B of the NOC will be considered for POINTS.

Hope this clears yr question..!

If you don't have an AEO (Approved Employment Option) from HRSDC or are working in Canada on an approved work permit, it doesn't matter what level of the NOC your experience is in, if it isn't on the list of "38" it doesn't qualify.   0621 is level B for your information.
