Hi there,

My e-cas status changed...but not really. They sent me my sponsorship approval on November 30th and I sponsor my wife in Québec, so I did send my csq like a couple days after receiving the sponsorship approval.

We received my wife's CSQ in early january!!

Now e-cas updates this:

We started processing your application on November 30, 2010.

We sent you a letter on November 30, 2010 about the decision on your application. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.

We forwarded your application to the Ministère de l'Immigration et des Communautés culturelles (MICC) on November 30, 2010.

So does that mean that Bogota is STILL waiting for CSQ answer to start processing our file?? We haven't received AOR and in e-cas, status for permanent residency still says "not available".

Thanks

From what I understand, CSQ and your embassy (Bogota) will process your concurrently; meaning that they both have your file and are doing what they need to do at the same time. I do not have to go through this process though, so my information may not be 100% correct. Hopefully someone more knowledgable will come along, but at least you won't be waiting for any information until then. Good luck!

I think e-Cas has been having a lot of issues.
I know for one that me and another applicant (even though we didn't apply outland) were just now able to sign into e-Cas today for the first time.

I took my update as a good sign of my grandpa watching over our application as his birthday would have been today.  Kiss

yeah well,

I don't know...does it take a lot of time before you received the sponsorship approval and when they send your file to Bogota...it would have taken a month in my case...approval 30th of nov and application sent on december 29th...is it too much or it's normal?
