I was reading posts on this forum to understand the process & precautions before filing the application,
I have read that once application is sent, CIC inform about approval by e-mail.

My question is what if that e-mail is filtered & moved to Spam? It might not happen but, it is possible.

Does CIC inform by mail (by postal dept) to inform about approval of application?

if you specified your email id in the application form, then most probably they will let you know via email. keep checking your junk mail folder.

They informed me by email and it did not went to junk mail. I use Yahoo eamil.

i use hotmail and the email from Sydney NS came to my inbox, for safty you can add the domain  @ cic.gc.ca into your safe list.

check your email configuration, in hotmail you can add the domain as " @ cic.gc.ca" into safe list.

You can also add the domain " @ international.gc.ca" in your safe list as I received my email from this domain. My VPO is London-UK.
