Confirmation of receipt of application

Hi there!

I submitted my parent sponsorship application last Feb. 9, but until today I have not gotten any confirmation from them.  I checked the courier company and the package did arrived.  I learned from a friend that I will be receiving an approval notice a month after submission.  I have met the financial requirement so I guess I must have passed the assesment.  How long should I be waiting for the approval notice?

Assuming you sent it to Mississauga, you won't receive approval/refusal letter until about 30 months have passed.  http://tinyurl.com/c5h97g

Hi PMM,

Yes, I know the processing will take a long time.  But isn't it we should also get "confirmation of receipt of application" at the least, just like when I submitted my PR application before?

nope, you will not get anything! you can use your receipt number to check the status online

Hi there!

I did tried to check online but they were not able to identify me.  I used the receipt # and my PR # but nothing came out.  Will it be possible they have not received my application, but the courier service confirm the package did arrived destination.

Try on cas with your receipt # and the sponsor name, date of birth from the sponsor and country of the sponsor.

Hi,

I think the CAS is only applicable for application already being process.  My application may not yet be in process that's why they were not able to identify me.  So I guess, I will have to patiently wait for 27 months to be able to hear from them.  I just hope they did received my application.

if you meant acknowledgement letter when you say "confirmation of receipt of application", you must get it in 4/5 weeks but for approval letter you have to wait for 2 yrs.
