Concern About PR Card ( Qorax Plz Answer )

Dear Mr .Qorax

I Really appriciate you knowledge, i have a small doubt in regards to PR Cards ; as in our earlier discussion with other guys on the forum many of them received PR cards after 45 Days

But many other Plans to Just Land and come back giving PO box of Friends or relatives or in my case a hotel

i came to know the PR card can be delay incase ,  if there is any problem in Photographs  ; then what if we leave the country without taking PR Cards in this particular case what we have to do ?

Coming to me i want to land in Oct staying for 20 Days ?

Sorry if i am repeating the question. But i have not came accross any thread about the cases where principal applicant had made exit from canada without PR card and faced any problem.

If someone leave canada without PR card and subsequently he was informed that there is some problem is issuing the cards, then how this problem can be solved. As per my understanding visa is issued which can be used for single entry into canada.

can you please through some light on the above.

I'd always advise everyone to stay at least 2 months here, post landing, to obtain the PRC & then leave. Anything can happen with it's processing... Any & many issues could crop-up, & be sure that this card is the most valuable document that we'd need towards our progress in this fab country.

I'm not sure how to address that situation, 'coz any complicacies in our PRC processing invariably requires our presence @ their office. One way could be to obtain a PRTD (Temp. Travel Document) from your local CHC (costs $50) & return here to solve the issue.

Not sure if you got all answers you need here but I thought to share my most recent experience. I'm currently in London, returned yesterday from Vancouver after going for a week just to have have my picture(and of my family members) retaken at the CIC office because they said the photographs I submitted with my application did not meet the spec for PR card.
We had landed in June, spent a week and returned to England, expecting out PR cards to be posted to us by out host.
You will agree with me we've just gone back on a completely uncessary trip, costing us more than we planned and even then, I almost bungled it because I did not take the record of landing with me and they insisted on seeing them before taking our pictures. Our only saving grace was that I had sent applications for other documents to different offices and banks and was able to obtain copies of record of landing from one of those offices.
Pictures now taken and we are now expecting our PR cards.
So if you can, please check your passport photographs against the CIC specs for PR cards before you land, it will save you a lot of headaches if you plan to leave Canada after landing.

We have landed on Aug 7, 2010 and still we are waiting for our PR Cards. Could you please tell me, how did you come to know that your PR card photos have had some problem. Did you receive any communication from CIC? When we landed, we did not give them any photo. It seems that they have used the photos that we have submitted for the visa. However there is no communication from CIC to the address that we gave them while landing (one of my friend's address).

In Ontario, usually the PR cards arrive by 45 days. U have to wait a bit more to know it's outcome. Now, regarding the photo issue - pls beware that CIC may or may not contact u. And if they do, it'd be after quite sometime.

The wise thing for u would be to contact them yourself after those 45-60 days, if u do not hear from them. Only then u'd know whether there's a prob or not. Rest, as the previous member stated, God forbid if u face that situation.

Apologies I just read this. I expected the mail system to notify me when there's a response to a question I post or someone posts tome.
Anyway, I hope your PR card is all sorted now.

We only got a letters in the post informing us that photos didn't meet specs. And you're right, they used the pics on the landing records.

We have our cards now, still in London and hoping to relocate early 2011.

What exactly the photo issue is? because I have read in some threads that many people's PR Cards get delayed because the picture was not matching as per the requirement. Why this problem happened and why they are not refusing the picture at the time of submission?, Please explain!!
