I'm flying  from US to Toronto by Air Canada ,can anyone say if they have carried computer monitor and CPU in their cabin bag  ? Will  security allow it ?
I do not want to put it inside checked luggage going by how the baggage handlers throw around the bags, I'm scared my poor monitor will not make it safely .It's a used one about 2-3  yrs old

There's a weight limit for carry on. If your monitor is a flat panel - you're probably fine. If not, it's probably too heavy. You'll have to weigh your CPU. Check the weight limits on Air Canada's website and then see if your stuff will pass.

Just to add... You'll have to check the dimensions as well. A large flat panel won't be allowed - neither will a larger CPU.

My husband successfully carried a small flat panel monitor as carry on a few years ago. So it is doable as long as your stuff meets the restrictions.
