She should call immigration and ask about the option-c printout. You are allowed to sponsor at age 18 so they must have provisions for that. While she's on the phone with immigration anyway, she can also ask them about your refugee episode but I don't believe it will be held against you since you were a minor at the time.
As far as I know, there are no special rules for first nations people with immigration. Adaptability is not relevant when sponsoring a spouse. They mainly look at if they think the relationship is real or not. Keep copies of phonebills, emails, chat logs, photos and other things you can think of to send in with your application to prove your relationship.
Yeah thanks for your answer Leon, I'll get her to call on monday to ask about that, that's pretty much the only doubt that we have right now, the rest is just paperwork and lots, lots of $$$. I don't have any phone bills, since we used to go to the same school and we saw each other basically 24/7. And now I communicate using this marvellous thing called Magicjack, So no record is kept. I do found however some chat logs, and some pictures of us in Montreal, Hamilton, etc etc, we used to take a lot of pictures kissing each other so I guess that's a point on our side.
Edgar,
2. If you left Canada voluntarily without any complications then, by all means, add that proof to show CIC that you were responsible and trustworthy by obeying the immigration laws. I think it is similar if you were granted a TRV into Canada and you obeyed the visa and left at the time it expired.
3. This is not a dumb question since most of us applying are minorities and wonder this as well. Every application should be given equal opportunity regardless of financial status, same s.e.x. couples, or ethnicity (we all hope!).
4. Yes this helps! Once you read through the required forms they will ask this.
Hope my comments help!

Thanks for the Comments canthai, I've followed some threads and I notice how you're always replying and willing to help. This is greatly appreciated trust me!
And yeah I guess I'll include the original sheet stating that I left Canada voluntarily. I asked the 3rd question because, I don't know if you've heard this before, but people registered under the Indian Act (first and six nations) have a LOT of benefits, which is considered fair in my humble opinion, after all, they got there first and it's their land right? won't get into history/politics but yeah, they are exempt from some taxes, get loans for basically everything, university/college for free, etc, that's why I guessed it was fair enough to wonder whether or not that could have any implications on our application.
Keep the comments coming guys, If I can be of any help, trust me I'll be the first one putting comments.
Edgar
