Hi,

my canadian boyfriend is sponsoring me and we are doing the common law application.

I studied in California for 3 years and then I worked in NYC for about a year.

My question is: Do I have to get the police certificate from each state or is the FBI certificate enough?

I´d like to add that I am from Iceland, so Im getting a certificate from there too of course.

FBI is enough. If CIC wants to see the state certs as well (this rarely happens), they will ask for them at some point in the process.
