Moved in together.

Arlene, Make sure you open up the guide and have it next to you or in another window when you are doing the forms.  It really will answer any questions you have.  For example, this question about the date you were common law, this is NOT reffering to the start of your relationship, or the date you moved in.  It's the date that you had been living together for 1 year and your status changed to 'common law' you will see this in the guide as well.

Goodluck!

With this question, it's the sponsor that needs to fill it out, so your boyfriend in this case.

If you click here: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/fc.asp

The top half is for your boyfriend to complete, the bottom half is for you to complete.  You'll notice at the top of each section it has a guide. click on that, and give it a read. Smiley   you'll also want to click on the united status country guide below.. the direct link is http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/guides/3910e.pdf

Hello all

I am about filing in as common law with my girlfriend who is a Canadian citizen we have all documents needed but I am worried about two things: 1. Do we really need Letters from friends and 2. When we filed in the last tax return hers was addressed to her mum as the the person who did said that was the address she used to use. Will this be an issue considering we both stay in her mum for about 9mths in the relationship we are together now for abt a year and  4mths. Pls any help will do! Thanks guys.
