Hi all, please i need your advice and suggestion.
I applied for refugee but was denied in july 2011 and i appealed the judgement in federal court. But shortly after, my partners application for refugee was approved so he submitted his application for PR as protected person and sponsored me under common law partner. This we submitted first week in August. On october 12 2011  I got a letter from the court that the appeal was denied and on nov 21, I received a letter from CBSA to come to 1900 airport road for meeting for PRRA. From when we submitted this commonlaw sponsorship alongside my partners PR application for protected person we never heard anything from CIC that our application is processed or received. Please Im confused . what do i do now or what is omy hope?
Please i need your advice asap.Thank you

Hi Guys, we went for the interview with CBSA but contrary to what we thot that CBSA will put processing of PRRA on hold till the outcome of the common law spousal sponsorship, the CBSA agent gave me the PRRA and said they will proceed with processing . I gave  the agent evidence of my sponsorship which she made coy too but she said starting from 3weeks ago, there is a new law that sponsorship can not delay or pend removal processing of CBSA.I dont know if this is true thou..please what can we do next or what should I expect now.. thanks all.
Please guys respond to this as it may save a life.

I can't really give advice, but based on the government website (http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/refugees/inside/prra.asp) it looks like you only have 15 days to fill out the PRRA paperwork that you were given. You should probably consult a professional about this for the best advice. If you don't have the money to hire an attorney you could look into contacting one of the organizations on this list http://www.srlan.org/content/canada-pro-bono-directory. Pro-bono means that they do the work on a volunteer, unpaid basis (i.e. free for you). Make sure you do it quickly, so that hopefully you find someone who can help you in the given timeframe.
