Hi! I am to submit my MPNP application within the next month or so but still contemplating whether to inlcude/declare as a dependent my live-in boyfriend of 3 years in my application. Will that prolong the process and/or increase the likelihood of disapproval?

You need to include your common law partner in the application. If you don't - then you will never be able to sponsor him. You will also be committing misrepresentation by stating in your application that you are single when you are in fact common law.
