Hi,

I am currently in US and I have sent my Passport and other documents to Detroit canada Consulate couple of weeks ago (Apr 26th, 2011). They got my package the very next day but I haven't got any response yet. I have sent a prepaid USPS express envelope and I am tracking that so I know that my passport hasn't been sent in.

I am scheduled to fly to Canada on May 15th so I am getting a bit nervous.

Does anyone know if there is a way to expediate the processing of the application or to collect the passport in person for a mailed in application.

Appreciate the response.

Were you able to get the passport when you went in person? We are in the same situation. Need to return back to India next week but passport is stuck in Detroit.
