Clueless

Hello Everyone,

I am a Newbie in this formum and am not quite sure where to post my question regarding immigration to Canada. As I could see so far I am not the only one with a more complicated question ;)
Here is the thing:
I would like to immigrate to Canada - preferably this year - but as far as I can see I "don't really" qualify for any of the immigration option. Of course I do know that immigration applications take some time (months to years) and thinking about immigrating this summer might be a "little bit" to soon but I would appreciate some input and help.

A little bit about myself first: I am from Germany and have a 5year University Degree in Biology (German "Diplom Biologe" more or less like a Masters Degree). In Addition, I completed a 3 1/2 year apprentcieship to become a Laboratory Technologist in Biology prior to going to University and have worked in that profession for 4 years.
I have been to Canada  on 1. temporary work permit (6months) in 98/99 2. a student visa (appr. 9months 2001/02) 3. work and travel visa (9 months 2006/07). I have work experience in Research and for the past 2 years I have been developing an elearning program (planning, design etc. - no programming though) for students and young professionals, technicians and related profession, including design of online tests, production of educational videos etc.
I never completed IELTS but would assume my english is good - very good.  And I am engaged to be married to a Canadian Citizen residing in Canada and have a job offer from my previous Employer in Canada.
Sounds good so far...BUT here is the thing:
- I am currently still residing in Germany
- I can't use the job offer for my application as my old boss doesn't have a LMO for the job and most likely he won't be able to get one. It is a postion at the UofA as a Research Technician and that is not on the List for the 38 "most wanted" professions
- marriage is along the line - this summer actually :), but my fiancee might not be able to sponsor me as he has been charged with a criminal offence (12 years back, assault with a concealed wapon) and hasn't been pardoned yet
- He had to declare bankruptcy a few months back which he will be released from this summer though 
- I am over 35 so I can't apply for all the other "immediate" solutions such as Young workers exchange
- I was too stupid to apply for the skilled workers permit when I came back to Germany in 2007 because I feared I would not reach the 67 points mark
- I did the "free online visa assessement" and scored 72 or so but still don't really qualify, as my work experience is not listed in one of the skilled professions

Any suggestions? I would really appreciate some input because I am running out of ideas.

To help facilitate your FSW application, your employer does not need an LMO, that is for a temporary work permit.  He needs an AEO which should be easier to get.

Thanks for the quick response! The problem is though that it would not be a permanent offer - it is grant funded and would be initially for 1 year with possibilty of extension for another 2 or so...
I have to admit that I have read so much about immigration and visa options and such that I become more and more confused and frustrated the more I read about it. The first 3 times the application was a piece of cake in comparison to this...
