It has been  more than 2 weeks since I applied to sponser my 2 sisters and mother. I have not heared anything from CIC-M? I am originally from Iraq and my 2 sisters and mother live in Iraq. I read that because of Iraq situation, CIC-M gives priority to applications for people from Iraq. I even heard some said here their application processed in 1 week. I submitted 3 applications, I wrote in the envelope of one of them only "Situation in Iraq".

I just called CIC customer service at 1-888-242-2100 (they are closed now since it is Saturday). I could have checked my application status if I had ClientID#. My question, would CIC-M send me mail to acknowledge that they receive my application and give me ClientID#?

Any help would be very much appreciate it. Thanks.

This will take a lot more than two weeks, some people do not get a client ID until the end of the process.

You can check online with the receipt number. At this early stage even this may not be active yet.

If you paid online it is the online receipt number starts with R

You can track by using your PR card number if you include it in your application? but i dont think you can track your application until they reach a decision on your application

Don't worry, your case is similar as mine, but I sponser my wife from Iraq, I am also iraqi and my waife live in iraq, I sent my application on july 25th, and till now I didn't recive any letter, it took about a month- month and half to you to get a letter to tell you that your application was recived.
I'm waiting for their 1st letter also, so we are in the same boat....but when did you sent your application?
